It’s a little early for Easter, but being that this new eco-kids product just launched this week, we should take a look. Parent Dish calls the brand new Eco-Eggs Easter Egg Coloring Kit one of the best green toys at Toy Fair 2010 and while I haven’t seen it yet personally it does sound super spiffy.

The eco-egg coloring kit comes with dissolvable vegetable capsules in five vibrant colors made with natural extracts from purple sweet potato, paprika, beta carotene, red cabbage and blueberries. There’s enough dye in each kit to color eggs twice. The kit also comes with 2 soy crayons for decorating.
I’m interested in actually seeing if this kit works well though. Keep on reading this post!

Most little ones I’ve met LOVE to dress up and pretend they’re someone else. I spent entire days as a kid doing this (and making my sister, poor girl, join in). If you’re still trying to think of a last minute gift for a special little one in your world then a DIY thrift store dress-up costume kit is an awesome idea.
This is also a green gift. You don’t have to buy any new products to pull it off plus you’re saving goods from the landfill and it’s thrifty to boot. For about $30 or less you can create a totally fab, one-of-a-kind holiday gift for a child who loves pretend play. Below is how to pull off this reuse gift.

Hit the thrift stores and look for… Keep on reading this post!
