I wasn’t really planning on sharing any other Easter Baskets here. Actually, I did already share one awesome homemade basket idea last week. Mainly I don’t tend to post about Easter baskets because I advocate using the same old baskets year after year. Frankly, it’s a little dull, but kids care more about what’s inside the basket anyhow. Then I saw this…

A Vintage Doily Easter Basket! Seriously, how clever and sweet is this basket offered up at Craft!? I LOVE it. It’s one of the coolest ideas ever and you can totally handle it too. Thrift stores always have tons of used doilies laying around and the tutorial looks pretty simple. Tip, if all you can find is a white doily, try dying it first with homemade juice dye.
The basket above made me curious as to what other clever last minute Easter ideas were floating around out there that I may have missed, so I started looking and found the following…

How cute would this easy-to-sew sweet bird set look in an Easter basket! So adorable. This clever crafter also has a full on make-your-own bunny tutorial available.

I usually buy the most natural sanding sugars I can find. This means India Tree (shown above) because they offer an array of India Tree All Natural Nature’s Colors Decorating Sugars made with colorants derived only from edible plants not from synthetic colors. However, these sugars are extremely expensive and you get too much in my opinion. I never use them all up. Then I saw a post about how to make your own homemade colored sanding sugar for Easter cookies and other treats – made with natural food coloring. Clever.

Using peat-pot trays for an Easter basket – genius – later you can start some plants in them!

Beautiful Origami Flower Easter Eggs you can make with scrap pieces of tissue paper.

Got lots of excess scrap paper? Try this totally cute Easter bunny garland. This is also excellent decor for a baby’s room – year-round.
