Great tips! I’ve experimented with eating local and organic and although I loved eating that way, it was hard for us to stay within our normal weekly budget. I sure do wish there were more store sales and coupons in the newspaper for organic items. Better yet, I’d like to see a lot more organic and even local food in the major stores. I’ve been seeing a lot of hype in store advertisements showing that they have local produce, but interestingly, no food from from the local providers at my area farmer’s markets… Perhaps you can give your thoughts on this? Another thing I’m curious about: can local and organic meats be sold at a grocery store? Do they have to be USDA certified to be able to be sold retail?

OK, you know I think ALL your posts are terrific, but this is one of the all-time best posts EVER! (My husband says I exaggerate and sometimes I do, but not THIS TIME! Also, I rarely use exclamation points so you know I’m serious!)
