Compensation facts:

At Growing a Green Family, I accept various forms of compensation. I accept compensation from advertising, links and sponsors. I also accept free products from various companies for review or giveaway purposes. I currently do not accept cold hard cash from companies for writing contracted reviews OR accept money in exchange for a good review (lame).

A word about my green product reviews:

I review lots of products. I review products I personally buy with my own cold hard cash. I review products I get for free from companies. Heck, if I check out a book at the library, see a hat on someone at the park, or my friend gets a product I might go ahead and say what I think of that too. All that said my green product review criteria is the same if I buy a product or if I receive a free product or I see a product at a pal’s house or… well you get the picture.

I don’t endorse or not endorse products, instead I tell you exactly what I adore or hate about products. If you think I sound reasonable; good, go ahead and agree with me and buy or don’t buy said product. Although, before you do decided to buy or not buy a product based on what I say, you should conduct some of your own research. I’m honest and IMO pretty darn intense about product reviews, but on the flip side I’m just one girl, with one opinion – my own.

I attempt to investigate products before accepting them for a review because one, I don’t love having extra stuff around the house, (not very green) and two, what’s the point of reviewing a non-green, or questionable green product here? Sometimes I get my hands on products that I thought sounded eco-friendly and then they don’t quite stand up to my standards for green, and when that happens, I’ll tell you so.
