At Growing a Green Family I accept various forms of compensation. I accept compensation from advertising, ad links and sponsors. I also accept products from companies for review or giveaway purposes. I do not accept cash from companies in exchange for writing contracted reviews. I do not (EVER) accept money or goods in exchange for a positive review (lame).
A word about my green product reviews:
I review many eco-friendly products. I review products I buy with my own money. I review products I get from companies. Honestly, if I check out a book at the library, see a hat on someone at the park, or my friend gets a product I’m interested in, I might just go ahead and review it. My green product review criteria is the same no matter how I acquire experience with said product.
I do not endorse (or not) specific products. I do post exactly what I adore or hate about a product. If you think my review sounds reasonable – good. Go ahead and buy the product. Although, before you do decided to buy or not buy a product based on what I say, you should conduct some of your own research. I’m honest about products and pretty intense when it comes to product reviews. Still, on the flip side I’m just one girl, with one opinion – my own.
I attempt to investigate products (to a point) before accepting them for a review because what’s the point of reviewing a non-eco, or questionable eco-product here? Sometimes I get my hands on a product that I thought sounded eco-friendly and then it doesn’t quite stand up to my standards. When that happens, I’ll tell you so.
