I think so. I have a friend who washes her floor routinely w/paper towels, we're talking like twice a week, b/c she thinks that is helping her kids stay germ free. I, on the other hand, won't tell you how long it's been since I've washed the floor. Won't and honestly, I can't remember. That might be gross, but the truth is that my kids have not gotten any more colds or illnesses than hers have. So I don't think it's valid to wash the floor that much. If her reason was different, like she just doesn't like a dirty floor or her pets did business there, yeah, I'd get that. But she insists it's helping them ward off germs. And it wouldn't be the same if she used a mop or towel or anything re-usable. She must 'throw the germs out' of her house. She is the shining example of germ fear. Her and my other friend who won't wash body fluids in her washing machine. She throws clothes away. Blood, puke, urine...trash. I could hardly hold a conversation w/her. So yes, I believe these people are out there and sadly, some of them won't be changing their habits anytime soon.
