So, I’ve been looking around to see which popsicle recipe books are available nowadays, because my goal was to post the top 10 popsicle books, but sadly, it’s slim pickings. It’s hard to even find a popsicle book with over 15 reviews on Amazon. Once you get under 15 reviews, I don’t really feel like you’re getting a great representation of a book.
Still, having one or two really nice popsicle recipe books around is a must in my opinion. Sure you can look up popsicle recipes online, but books are much nicer for kids to browse. Your little one can look at the pictures, bookmark flavors they’d like to try and easily follow recipes without staring at a screen all day long. What I suggest is checking out some of the books below at the library before you buy one.
Which books do I suggest?
I can personally recommend Ice Pop Joy, Paletas, and Pops! – all three of these are good ones to own in my opinion. I have not read Vegan a la Mode, but plan to get it from the library soon, because it looks awesome. I’ve seen the other books below, but for various reasons I didn’t enjoy them as much. However, that doesn’t mean you won’t. Everyone has a different opinion when it comes to popsicle recipes.
*IMPORTANT: One thing to remember is that not all of these books are based on organic ingredients. However, I suggest you do make organic popsicles whenever possible, so be sure to switch out ingredients in the books.
Find a popsicle recipe book:
All of the above said, I’m not posting 10 books, because I don’t personally think there are 10 stellar ice pop minded books out there right now. I’m just going to post 8. Some of these are dedicated ice pop books, while others offer ice cream and sorbet recipes. I included them, because you can make popsicles with ice cream, yogurt and sorbets, and creamy popsicles allow you to mix it up, breaking away from pure juice and other liquid-based pops.
